Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF)

This accredited qualifications is ideal for those already working or preparing to work within industry who wish to become an Emergency First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and for HSE NI 1982.

How is this qualifications delivered?

This qualification should operate on a ratio of 12 learners to 1 tutor and the qualifications have a minimum of eight guided learning hours. The minimum contact time for this qualification, excluding breaks, should be a period of six hours. This qualification can be delivered over a maximum of four weeks from start to finish in minimum training sessions of two hours at a time.

Practical observation

This ongoing assessment will involve learners demonstrating practical first-aid skills across a number of areas.

Oral/written questioning

This will be completed via ongoing assessment with the learners on the course. It requires learners to showcase their knowledge and understanding in a number of first-aid related areas. This can be done either through oral/written means or both.
