Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Providing Security Services (QCF)
This qualification is designed for those working in the security industry and it provides learners with a choice of four possible pathways they can choose. These include General Security, CCTV, Static and Patrol Guarding and Door Supervision. This qualification is the competency component of the Providing Security Services Apprenticeship. Additional qualifications are required to obtain the full Apprenticeship.
How long will it take me to achieve this qualification?
The number of guided learning hours required for a candidate to achieve this qualification are 128-148.
How is the qualification assessed?
Assessment for this qualification is conducted through a combination of an internally assessed portfolio of evidence that shows the candidate has completed the requirements of the qualification as well as through an externally set and assessed multiple choice examination.
Learners successfully completing this qualification may wish to progress to further qualifications, such as:
- Level 2 Award in Security Guarding (QCF)
- Level 2 Award in Door Supervision (QCF)
- Level 2 CCTV Operations (Public Space Surveillance) (QCF)
- Level 2 Certificate in Providing Security Services (QCF)
This qualification can be taken by those 16 years of age and above.
